Since I resumed blogging a couple years ago, I’ve tried to focus mostly on the matter of the blog — the words, the photos, and so on — and not to pay much attention to the form, which is just an out-of-the-box WordPress template. However, over the weekend I did make one tweak that will be noticeable, especially if you read the blog by e-mail or with a blog reader.
The blog feed now contains excerpts — usually the first 55 words of a post — rather than full articles. If you want to read an entire article and see any accompanying pictures, you’ll need to click on the link and visit the website. I did this because the article format is often getting corrupted by e-mail and blog readers, especially when an article has pictures.
