With only a few days left in Mexico City, I’ve had an appreciable uptick in lunch invitations from my classmates. Yesterday, I had lunch with a classmate from France at a somewhat upscale rooftop beer garden in the nearby Roma neighborhood.
He and I shared a plate of mini-tacos. These were not street tacos, but rather Instagram-ready crunchy tacos with grilled ribeye steak, guacamole, and thinly sliced red onions. When washed down with a craft beer, it was a pleasant way to spend an hour on a sunny Mexico City afternoon.
Curiously, these are the only tacos I’ve eaten since I arrived in Mexico City last month.
