The sun has finally appeared again. At 11:15 pm. I’m taking advantage of the opportunity to air my tent out a bit. It’s getting musty from wet clothes and so on.
It’s been raining since about eight hours after I arrived in Reykjavik Monday morning, and it’s still coming down. The forecast is that it will end tomorrow morning. Just in time for me to leave. Somehow I managed to stay dry again last night. Perhaps I remember more from Boy Scouts than I realize.
The flight to Iceland was uneventful. The international airport in Keflavik is small but seems very modern, although the lack of a jetway was surprising. I was through immigration control in a few minutes, and I arrived at the baggage carousel at the same time my bag did. I don’t think it took more than 15 minutes from leaving the plane to leaving the terminal.
In the middle of Þingvellir National Park in Iceland, and I suddenly have an Internet connection again. I thought I’d pop my head up before I get back to Reykjavik and it doesn’t work again. I’m safe and well. More to follow when able.
